Fire Ban Lifted

This week’s rain must have helped city fire officials in their decision to lift a city-wide fire ban.

The ban will be lifted as of Friday at midnight.

Residents are reminded that fire stations are closed to the public due to the Covid-19 emergency, so permits can only be renewed and applied for online.

New permit applications require an inspection by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue personnel, and those inspections will be completed as soon as possible.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue reminds citizens that any outdoor burning within the city requires a permit.
