Brewery Asks For Council Support

A brand-new craft brewery is going before City Council tonight requesting a licence to operate a tap room.

Kevin Anderson is the co-owner of One Time Brew Company, and says requiring this licence is one of three final steps for them.

“Instead of putting the actual liquor licence on the door like most establishments have to do, we actually have to go to Council and plead our case,” he explains.

The other requirements are a manufacturing licence and retail licence.

One Time Brew Company is located in the former Organic Cafe on Fort William Road and they hope to have their brewery open by April.

Anderson says they are a small batch brewery that does limited runs of different styles of beer.
