Lakehead University’s Agora building will the site of an act of solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en Nation.
Students including Amanda Moddejonge will be showing their support publicly for the British Columbia Indigenous communities who are standing up against the occupation of their lands for the Coastal Link Pipeline project.
“Really we sat down one day and thought what is going on isn’t right. There is a call for solidarity and we thought we wanted to do something to voice our support for this matter,” Moddejonge explains.
The solidarity event is being held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Agora building on the LU campus.
