Leaders from First Nation communities around the northwest re going to be in Thunder Bay this week to discuss their expertise and ideas on northern housing.
Conference Committee Member Jonathan Gregg tells us they’ve had a lot of interest in this year’s event.
“Delegates from coast to coast to coast, so we have people from Nunavut, NWT, British Columbia, all the prairies, it’s turning out to be a great turn out. This may be our highest turn out yet,” Gregg says.
It’s the 18th year for this conference that got underway today and wraps up on Thursday.
“It’s always good to hear from other people about how they develop and administer their housing, what challenges they have, what best practices they’ve discovered. It’s also nice to just share those good news stories,” Gregg adds.
We look forward to three amazing days with you, full of learning, sharing and fun! New experiences, new knowledge, new people. Meet you in Thunder Bay! https://t.co/MZ8F7wr2I6 pic.twitter.com/vCdmDslqX5
