Select Homes To Receive Water Filter Pitchers

The city will soon be sending out water filtration pitchers to those homes with lead pipes.

It was recently announced the sodium hydroxide the city had introduced into the water system to deal with the lead problem, was being phased out.

It follows pinhole leaks which were found on some pipes and the city is now working with the Ministry of the Environment on a possible solution.

Until then the water filter kits will be assembled and delivered to customers with lead water pipes over the coming weeks.
