Hobbs Trial To Resume With Police Testimony

After a day long recess the Keith Hobbs extortion trial is set to resume today.

Back on the stand will be the OPP detective inspector who has been playing videos of the accused people being questioned. That included Keith & Marisa Hobbs who were both very passionate in their defence insisting they did not extort the purchase of the house from the alleged victim.

This is one of the final witness for the prosecution as the crown will be resting its case once it is done. There is no indication if any of the defence attorneys plan to call their own witnesses.

The trial has also been noted for exposing the private lives of those involved. It has been through both explicit video and audio recordings.

Former mayor Hobbs, his wife Marisa, and co-accused Mary Voss are accused of trying to get a $400,000 house from the alleged victim. Four weeks have been set aside for the proceedings.
