The Mayor of Oliver-Paipoonge is taking on another job as the head of a water protection committee.
Lucy Kloosterhuis says she looks forward to working with the Lakehead Source Protection Area’s Source Protection Committee.
She’s been named as the new Chair and will oversee the planning of different policies and programs to keep the region’s drinking water sources safe.
Kloosterhuis replaces Bob Hartley, who held the position for 12 years.
