A local midwife says new funding will let her help more patients and families.
Dilico midwife Lisa Bishop says recent provincial money will let her office hire another midwife.
“This will allow me to do more with each family and it will also give me a better work/life balance and hopefully allow me to go out into our communities more.”
The province announced a total of $28-million for midwife services, including training for culturally sensitive care for Indigenous patients.
