It’s all hands on deck for the Ministry of Natural Resources when it comes to a fire near Keewaywin First Nation.
Fire Information Officer Jonathon Scott tells us they are funnelling in fire crews consistently in an attempt to tame the out of control blaze.
“Crews, a management team and equipment for setting up sprinklers. They are looking to bring the fire to natural boundaries and set up sprinklers on buildings.”
Sioux Lookout is housing evacuees from Keewaywin while crews work on battling the fire.
