Ontario Liberals will elect a new leader next March.
The party announced March 7 as the date during their annual general meeting held this past weekend in Mississauga.
Liberals will also continue using a mixed-voting system which allows for voting at the local riding level and at a convention.
A move to a one-member-one vote system being used by other parties was put forward but failed to pass at the meeting.
Leadership hopefuls include Steven Del Duca, Michael Coteau, and Mitzie Hunter.
