Tonight is the draw for Canada’s largest-ever LOTTO MAX jackpot at $65-million.
OLG spokesperson Dita Kuhey told 99.9 The Bay’s John Ongaro a change in the rules is what let the prize get so large.
“Before, the jackpot could only grow up to $60 million, now it can grow up to $70 million.”
The lottery official adds there are also ten Maxmillions prizes in tonight’s draw.
She adds they are seeing more ticket sales as excitement grows.
“People are really motivated by those big jackpots. It’s a life-changing amount of money.”
