Why should the players have all the fun? A referee in the Netherlands got into the action over the weekend and scored a goal! The Harkemase Boys were on their heels against HSV Hoek, the ball bounced off the ref and it went in. The ref then declared it a legal goal! It might suck for the Harkemase crew, but it’s the right call. FIFA looks at refs as part of the field of play. Maybe though, the ref shouldn’t be so close to the action in front of the net! The little kicking motion he makes doesn’t help either 🙂 Check out the play below.
