The NDP has named its candidate for the federal Thunder Bay Superior North riding.
Former Nishnawbe Aski Nation Deputy Grand Chief Anna Betty Achneepineskum was confirmed over the weekend.
The NDP candidate is up against Liberal Patty Hajdu, and Conservative Frank Pullia.
The new candidate points out she’ll be focusing on youth, and providing better tools aimed at mental health services and suicide prevention.
She adds she wants to help seniors and provide better job opportunities in the north.
