Thunder Bay police are quite pleased following a recent blitz in searching for insecure loads on city streets.
They say every spring they get numerous complaints, so on Saturday they set up a check point near the city landfill site on Mapleward Road.
Police say of the more than 150 loads checked, two charges were handed out, which they say is quite low than in years past.
Law enforcement reminds you it is the responsibility of the driver to make sure everything on a trailer is securely tied down.

Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
