The $7 million worth of repairs to the Current River Dam is one step closer to reality.
It’s a pet project of ward Councillor Andrew Foulds who tells us with an environmental assessment hurdle out of the way, the city can move on with the project.
Foulds explains they will now take feedback from the environmental assessment and begin the design process.
The Current River Councillor believes the city could start asking for bids in the fall and now says he can “see light at the end of the tunnel” adding it’s been a long process and is “happy about where they are at.”
