The new season of MasterChef Canada begins tonight with a Thunder Bay contestant taking part.
Cryssi Larocque tells us being involved with the TV program has been a big boost of confidence for her.
It was her third time attempting to appear on the show and says “through determination” she finally got her chance.
Larocque already knows the outcome of the show but is sworn to secrecy.
She notes however, it has all been a life changing experience.
The former airline agent, who is now a chef at Daytona’s restaurant, says “they tell you day one that your life will never be the same, and boy were they right.”
The MasterChef contestant will be vying for the $100,000 top prize along with 17 others.
