The Canadian Taxpayers Federation wants Premier Doug Ford to pull the plug on the government-funded Ontario News Now.
The website and other social media sites were set up shortly after Ford came to power and have been used to promote various government initiatives.
The Federation calls it a waste of money.
It notes the Ford government has made a commitment to respect taxpayers’ money by reducing spending and waste, and claims ending Ontario News Now would achieve both.
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is a not-for-profit group that says its goals are striving for lower taxes, less waste, and what it calls accountable government.
