There’s been a spike in Canada’s population.
Statistics Canada now estimates there are 37,242,000 people living in Canada as of October 1st.
That’s up by about 184,000.
Stats Canada says that’s the largest increase since it started reporting population numbers in 1971.
Ontario’s population is also up with over 14,000,400 people.
Stats Can says immigration is seen as the main factor both in Ontario and Canada.
