The head of a local charity is saddened by word the Staal Foundation Open won’t return for 2019.
Hospital Foundation President Glenn Craig tells us they’ll now have to look for a replacement for the summertime fundraising event.
“I mean events all have a life cycle, things come and go so we will have to think of something new or work on some of our other events to fill in that gap.”
The Hospital Foundation, Camp Quality and the SmileZone Foundation supporting George Jeffrey Children’s Centre, received funding last year from the golf tournament.
