Matawa’s new high school on Lillie Street is being showcased Wednesday.
Bonnie Moore works with the Matawa Education and Care Centre, she tells us they are showing off the first phase of their renovations of the former Grandview Lodge.
“The first phase is the classroom, there is also some mental health areas, and there is a beautiful elder area where the students can relax and socialize as well as learn how to make bannock.”
120 students are enrolled at the facility and students started their classes in the fall.
The second phase of the renovation project is expected to include student housing.
Officials will be touring the school Wednesday.
