Thunder Bay fire service is confirming a death following a townhouse fire at 6 Trillium Way.
Police report a body was located inside the unit.
They tell us it was early this morning when they arrived at a townhouse complex with fire in the kitchen and living rooms areas.
Platoon Chief Shawn Merrifield adds there were reports of a woman trapped.

Damage is extensive, with the cause yet to be determined.
Ashley Dunman lives across the street from the fire scene and tells us she saw two firefighters “dive out the front bedroom window off the ladder” and tumble down.
She says black smoke was pouring out everywhere.
