It’s a little easier for partners to reside in the same long term care home in Ontario.
Minister of Health and Long Term Care, Eric Hoskins says the spousal re-unification program officially comes into effect yesterday, February 20th.
“Every single long terrm care home in this province, for the first time in history…is required to set aside specific, dedicated beds for spousal reunification.
Hoskins says the new classification was created thanks to input from families and stakeholder groups.
