The City’s police building on Balmoral Street is in need of repairs.
The facility’s main floor is shifting with cracks showing up and in one incident a jail cell toilet leaking into a Sergeant’s office.
Chief JP Levesque says they need renos badly but they have to wait until funding is available.
He notes they have a plan in place and it’s set to go when the funding is there.
The renovation project was put on the back burner until 2019 because the new police and fire radio system was more of a priority due to public safety. (File photo)
