Taxi By-Law Expected In Two Weeks

In about two weeks City Council will be considering the new taxi by-law.

It’s been over three years since the Police Services Board first approached giving back the responsibility of governing local taxi companies.

Councillor Brian McKinnon sits on the board and says it’s been a very long haul.

McKinnon says they had a couple of hiccups along the process and that’s why they’ve been delayed in getting it to Council.

McKinnon hopes the by-law will be passed by the end of March or early April. (File photo)
