There are a couple of lucky lottery winners in the city.
Gerald Silvaggio is now claiming his $166,000 second prize win from the December 5th Daily Grand draw.
He bought the winning ticket at Mac’s on Waterloo Street.
Donna Mitani is a $60,000 winner from the Lotto 6/49 draw on New Year’s Eve.
The winning ticket was purchased at Arella’s Quality Dollar and Import Store on Bay Street.

TORONTO, ON – Congratulations to Gerald Silvaggio of Thunder Bay, one of three second prize winners from the December 5, 2016 DAILY GRAND draw. Another winning ticket for the second prize was sold in Nepean while a third winning ticket was sold in Western Canada. Each prize is worth $166,666.70.
DAILY GRAND is Canada’s newest national lottery. At $3 per play, the grand prize is $1,000 a day for the life of the winner who matches five main numbers plus the Grand Number. The second prize is $25,000 a year for the life of the winner who matches only the five main numbers. The odds of winning the grand prize are approximately 1 in 13.34 million and the overall odds of winning a prize are approximately 1 in 6.8.
The winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on Waterloo Street in Thunder Bay.
