Two teenage girls are under arrest after Thunder Bay Police intervened in an assault.
Officers were patrolling Arthur Street West between James Street and Mountdale Avenue around 12:30 this morning.
They saw two people in a laneway standing over a 27-year-old woman, who was lying on the ground injured.
The woman was taken to the Regional Hospital for treatment and police took a 15- and 16-year-old into custody.
The accused are scheduled to appear in bail court today. Their names can’t be published in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
