City Opens Certain Outdoor Rec Areas

As the province allows more outdoor activities, the city is opening up some of its outdoor recreation areas.

Starting Saturday, you can go boating at the Marina with members of your household and use the Strathcona and Chapples golf courses.

At the same time the city is re-opening its BMX and Skateboard parks, sports fields, and tennis courts.

The Tennis Centre will open on Sunday or Monday.

However, you can’t play or practice team sports, or any sports that are likely to bring you within two metres of other people.

You will also be locked out of any amenities like pools, change rooms or locker rooms.

The city notes 55 Plus summer program registration is cancelled. The facility is not able to open until Stage 3.

The West Arthur Community Centre 55 Plus Programs will not resume until September.
