DeMille Endorses AstraZeneca Decision

Doctor Janet DeMille seems satisfied with the province’s decision to let Ontarians get their second dose of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit’s Medical Officer of Health recognizes that you do have the choice to not get vaccinated, but strongly encourages it.

“People who have already had one dose of AstraZeneca, if they didn’t have any significant side effects like a reaction like this clotting issue, it is very safe for them to get the second dose,” noted DeMille.

The Medical Officer added the Health Unit will make sure people can get information on the vaccine on its website so they can make an informed decision.

DeMille believes you’ll be able to book your second shot at the same place you received your first.
