Uride Helping Non-Essential Businesses

A local ride-sharing company wants to help businesses that can’t stay open right now.

Uride founder Cody Ruberto says since his company is considered essential, he’s sharing the wealth during the lockdown and stay-at-home order by offering a $30 ride credit for small business owners.

“They can use it however they want. They can use it as a giveaway for a Facebook contest or things like that when they’re able to re-open, to drum up some extra demand, or they can just use it to get an essential ride,” he explains.

Ruberto says he was inspired by a local restaurant offering similar help to businesses.

We’re allowed to stay open, we’re still operating. And for businesses that are forced to close, I can’t imagine what they’re going through. We’re going to do whatever we can on our end,” Ruberto says, adding he hopes this move will push more people to lend a hand to non-essential business owners.

Business owners can email Uride to collect their free rides.
