43 More Cases In TBDHU

The COVID-19 surge continues with 43 new cases in the Thunder Bay District.

The Health Unit is reporting that another 32 people are no longer testing positive, putting the district at 446 active cases.

Its update also includes one more COVID-19 patient in intensive care at the Regional Hospital. There are a total of 36 cases in the hospital, including nine in the Intensive Care Unit.

The new cases in the district include 20 people who caught the virus within their own household and one person in the Walford Retirement Home outbreak.

There are a total of 1,468 new cases across the province.
