Arrests Made In Main Street Murder

Two people from Thunder Bay have been arrested in connection to the city’s eighth murder of the year.

Police say 29-year-old Kenneth Layton Moonias faces a second degree murder charge, and two charges of breach of probation.

Also, 31-year-old Natalie Roseanne Moonias is facing the same charges.

The body of 31-year-old Christopher Meeseetawageesic was found Sunday on Main Street, near the Thunder Centre, with the Major Crimes Unit concluding it was murder.

An autopsy has been done.

The accused appear in bail court today.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
