Seattle Gets Kraken!

RELEASE THE KRAKEN!

Seattle’s new NHL franchise has an official name. The Seattle Kraken! The Kraken is a mythical sea monster, similar to a giant squid, said to haunt the waters of the area. The logo is understated when you consider the powerful name, but through the S is a tentacle and a glaring red eye. I like the colours too. Like the depths of the sea, a blue that’s almost black along with a lighter blue.

The Kraken get crackin’ in the 2021-2022 season. Seattle’s original professional hockey team, the Metropolitans, won the Stanley Cup in 1917 and were the first American team to hoist Lord Stanley.
