Port Arthur’s Rotary Club continues to give back to the community.
They’ve handed out $17,000 in grant money to eight local organizations.
The Rotary Shelter House is one of the recipients this year and they’ll be using the money to fix their kitchen’s plumbing and ventilation.
The Wilderness Discovery Centre is using their share of the money to conduct ongoing renovations as well.
Port Arthur Rotary Past President Rod Morrison, “we try to provide seed money to get worthy projects up and running or sustain existing programs. We favour projects for youth, elderly, health-care, and community projects that benefit large number of residents of Thunder Bay. Groups that are helping deal with the Covid-19 pandemic have been given special priority this year”, concluded Morrison.
