Thunder Bay’s Heartbeat Hot Sauce is once again being featured on the popular YouTube show Hot Ones.
The show features chicken wings cooked in a variety of hot sauces while its host Sean Evans asks celebrities personal questions.
Evans made the announcement that our local company would be in this year’s lineup earlier today. Their Pineapple Habanero hot sauce will be featured in season 10 of the show.
Co-owner Al Bourbouhakis tells us they get a kick out of waiting to see which celebrities will be interviewed during the season while eating hot wings.
“We have no clue who it’s going to be and looking back on the show in past seasons the range of guests they have in terms of what areas of media they are from whether they are actors, comedians or musicians. We just have no clue who it is going to be so every time one pops up it’s just a total surprise.”
Last time Jackass star Johnny Knoxville and actress Natalie Portman were featured on the show and both enjoyed eating the wings made with Heartbeat Hot Sauce’s Red Habanero.
Bourbouhakis adds the show is even bigger now than when they were first featured on it in 2018.
“They’ve surpassed 7 million subscribers to the channel now so we’ll be seeing millions of views on each episode, that’s a big pedestal to be put on.”
