Environment Canada is warning us there is a heavy rain storm heading our way.
Spokesperson Peter Kimbell tells us it’s coming from the southwest around South Dakota, bringing with it lots of rain starting at 10 tonight.
“Total amounts 30-50mm, perhaps a little less than that, I’m thinking maybe 25-40, would probably be a little more accurate. And, tapering off during the day on Friday, so really the bulk of it is tonight and into early tomorrow morning.”
The hardest hit areas are expected to be Atikokan, Fort Frances, Dryden and Thunder Bay.
Environment Canada says Thunder Bay has already seen 53 millimeters of rain this month which is nearing the normal amount for the entire month.
