Municipal leaders heard plenty of funding promises at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference yesterday.
Minister of Municipal Affairs Steve Clark says the province won’t reduce funding to land ambulance services.
“Municipalities will receive an average of nearly 4% more for this calendar year in 2019, and also receive an increase in 2020,” Clark told attendees.
The Minister says the province will also consult municipalities this fall about the process of resolving disputes under Fire Protection and Prevention Act.
