The NHL Playoffs really are a magical thing. Take yesterday’s contest between the St. Louis Blues and the Dallas Stars for instance. Less than a year ago, Patrick Maroon was a free agent. He wasn’t getting much interest so he made a late night call to the St. Louis Blues saying he wanted a chance to play for his hometown team. Fast Forward to last night. In St. Louis, Game 7, Double Overtime, Maroon’s young son watches in the stands as his dad scores the series-winning goal. You can’t make this stuff up. 10-year-old Anthony Maroon reacted with tears of joy. Below, check out the goal, Anthony’s celebration, and a Hollywood superstar greeting the hometown hero!
