Health Unit Waiting For Word From Nurses

The District Health Unit appears to suggest they’re willing to go back to the bargaining table with striking nurses if the union comes back with a counter-proposal.

The Health Unit claims it made an offer on October 15th after mediation broke down with the Ontario Nurses’ Association, but haven’t received anything in return from the union.

It adds it feels the offer was fair and addressed some of the nurses’ concerns.

58 public health nurses have been on strike for 11 days.
