Young Driver Charged After Crash

A 17-year old from Fort William First Nation is in hospital with serious injuries following a single vehicle roll-over on Sunnyside Beach road.

OPP were called to the area around 11, Friday night, to find the SUV had rolled several times, ejecting the teenaged passenger.

Police found the 17-year old female driver from Fort William First Nation lost control.

She and two other passengers weren’t injured.

The driver is charged as being a novice with alcohol in her blood, and not surrendering her licence to police.
