It appears the provincial government has no plans to turn winter road maintenance over to public hands.
The NDP is calling on public sector control over snow clearing concerns across Ontario.
However, Minister of Transportation Kathryn McGarry says the status quo is working, and accuses the opposition of fear mongering.
She adds there hasn’t been a reduction in the level of road clearing service in Ontario.
