WATCH: Reese’s Contact-Free Halloween Door!

Jason Wellwood October 21, 2020 3:24 pm Last Updated on July 2, 2025 5:33 am

Reese to the rescue! The candy company that brings us Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces, has developed a pandemic-friendly door for trick-or-treating!

Courtesy: Hershey’s

Reese’s robot door is 9-feet high and rolls around to Halloweeners doling out contact-free king-sized candy through the mail-slot to those who knock and say “trick-or-treat!”

The company is running a contest on their social media for which towns the door will come to.

If this bad-boy came here, I’d be elbowing kids out of the way left-and-right like I was George Costanza!

Check out this video of Reese’s door in action! E.T. would phone home about this one!

Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
