VIDEO: PC Leader Targets Hydro, Gas Prices

Ontario’s PC Leader claims municipalities will decide how to use money from a revenue sharing program for northern Ontario, not Queen’s Park.

Speaking at the DaVinci Centre last night, Doug Ford hopes it’ll be more than $20-30-million in taxes from mining, forestry and other industries.

He says too often Toronto dictates how the money is spent, without any say from those receiving it.

Ford added we’ll be shocked when we find out who’s getting rich off the backs of taxpayers.

He also went after high gas prices, blaming taxes for that, adding the carbon tax will be axed if he’s elected June 7th.

The PC Leader again went after Hydro One, noting the CEO is not only paid $6-million dollars, but also doubled his severance pay, to which Ford asked “Who does that?”

Also spoken from the podium, a pledge to eliminate fuel tax on flights to and from northern communities, and restoring Northlander rail service.

One person, who claims he doesn’t have any party affliation, and who’s always voted either Liberal or NDP, said he’s going Conservative.

Doug Ford added this election isn’t about being Liberal, NDP or Conservative, it’s about getting Ontario back on track.
