43 local Aboriginal youth are being honoured in the region’s 14th annual Aboriginal Youth Achievement awards.
One of the winners last night was Grade 6 St. Jude student Lily Moses who took home the Heritage Keepers award.
“I’m just glad that I’m learning about my culture and learning the Anicinabe language. I’m so glad that I’m getting an award and being recognized as Anicinabe.”
