It was 50 years ago The Beatles walked across Abbey Road in for their iconic album cover photo.
Since that August day in 1969, millions have made the same crossing in London, England including Thunder Bay’s Alan Auld.
Auld calls the making the crossing “a Mecca for any Beatle’s fan.”
He says just “walking up to that road (he) could feel the excitement,” and the first thing he noticed was the street “was really small, but it’s as busy as Red River Road.”
The Thunder Bay Beatle’s fan tells us there is always a group of people looking to cross Abbey Road no matter what day it is.
