Victims Targeted In Hotel Assault

Two people sent to hospital due to a north end assault at a hotel were targeted by their assailants.

Thunder Bay police say they were called to the Cumberland Street north area before 4 o’clock this morning, to reports of the assault in progress.

They say several people forced their way into a room at the Midtown Inn with weapons.

The nature of the victims injuries aren’t known at this time, but are considered by police as non-life threatening.

The Thunder Bay police Major Crime’s Unit is investigating.
