It didn’t take too long for emergency crews to deal with a car fire in Shuniah over the weekend.
Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services say they were called to the 400 block of Lakeshore Drive around 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon.
It was found near a shed and house, and before fire crews put the fire out, it exploded at one point.
Nearby buildings were inspected to make sure they weren’t affected by debris.
Of note though, emergency crews say one of the fire trucks had difficulty arriving quickly due to traffic en route not moving over to make way.
