UPDATE: Local Woman Faces Numerous Charges

A 27-year old Thunder Bay woman is facing charges after police say a pickup truck crashed into a building on Vickers Street and Northern Avenue.

They tell us it started when a police officer noted someone they may have been looking for on warrants, just after 3 yesterday afternoon on Vickers Street North.

Police add they tried to stop the driver, but she speed off.

The truck went through a stop sign, sideswiped another vehicle, and then crashed into the building.

The woman appeared in court this morning, and remains in custody.

She’s charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, and obstruct breach of probation.
