More people will soon be able to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is expanding the vaccination program to include more high-priority groups like those aged 80 years and older.
The priority groups also now include all Indigenous adults, adults who receive chronic home care, heath care workers in the High Priority level, and staff, residents and caregivers in retirement homes and other congregate care settings for seniors.
Vaccinations will be by appointment only. The TBDHU is asking you not to call the health unit about clinics and booking until after the booking process and clinic dates are announced.
The full roll-out will take place over the coming months and the Fall, and everyone will be able to get the vaccine.
