Police are saying that the presence of numerous cruisers on the city’s south side this morning, was nothing more than a traffic stop.
During the eight o’clock hour there were about four or five police cruisers parked on Edward Street at Arthur.
There was a police dog as well helping to inspect a stopped car.
Police say the car was stopped because it had licence plates that didn’t belong to the vehicle.
They corroborate a witness report there were some occupants of the vehicle handcuffed and the dogs were there to sniff for drugs, but they didn’t report that any contraband was found. (Staff photos)
