A 26-year-old Nolalu man is now in police custody after what authorities deem as a high-risk arrest.
They were called to the motel parking lot just after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday on the Kingsway near Arthur Street East after the stolen white sedan was observed.
Police were first tipped off to an erratic driver in the vehicle just before 9:50 p.m. October 19th near a fast-food drive thru on Cumberland Street North.
Officers discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen in Barrie and may have been connected to a crime involving a firearm outside of Thunder Bay.
Charges are pending against the suspect.
